Passenger by Alexandra Bracken! In a word: cute. It was an interesting take on the concept of time travel. It was lengthy and slow to get into but the story was really good overall. It wasn't one of those books that I read in one sitting and couldn't get enough of, but it was good just the same. If you really like stories like The DaVinci Code or other books that don't really have anything to do with typical romances in high school as most young adult novels center around, this is definitely for you! It was well paced and there was always enough in the plot to keep me reading. It was a very interesting read about historical fiction but it clashed beautifully with the modern ideas of the 21st century. If this is the future of fantasy tales-there will not be any disappointment. I also really appreciated the feminism support in the story! The main character Etta went from the year 2015 to many different time periods and still promoted her self-worth and learned a lot about how her opportunities as a woman grew and shrunk as history played itself out.
